How much does it cost?

Your first purchase will be free but ALL subsequent tracks cost £1.25 (any relevant data charges that your phone operator charges may also apply for all purchases)

These are charges that your phone operator may apply for getting information over the mobile network. In most cases these are minimal or do not apply; please refer to your operator for more details.

How do I know I have bought my chosen track?

Once your purchase is complete your phone will confirm this and direct you to the website to download your track.

You can double check this by selecting ‘My Transactions’ on your mobile phone which will display your transaction history. If online you can also log into your account and check your transaction history.

How do I get my track on my phone/mp3player/ipod?

All tracks will be delivered in windows media format, which can be transferred directly to many MP3 Players and Phones – in the event it is not compatible you will need to convert the download by burning it on to a CD and then transferring it onto your portable device as you would do with an audio CD.

Can I copy this music to give to my friends?

Absolutely not. Purchasing music and then copying it to your friends (or anyone else for that matter) is illegal.

What is DRM?

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management and is a technology that can help protect the copyright of artists and record labels by helping prevent illegal and unauthorised copying. Customers who buy tracks from CLIQ can make personal CD copies of all tracks purchased and also transfer to their portable music players.

What does update my station list mean?

This ensures you have the most up to date list of stations available on CLIQ. Once in ‘My Account’ select Update Stations and follow the instructions. Don’t worry if you forget to do this, your station list updates automatically every time you purchase a track. CLIQ will also prompt you every fortnight in the event you haven’t bought a track within the last two weeks.

Where can I find CLIQ on my phone?

In most cases CLIQ will be stored in either Applications, Entertainment, Games or a separate Java application folder. If in doubt, please refer to your handset manual or call your handset manufacturer for help.

Why isn’t CLIQ working on my phone?

CLIQ works on over 80% of phones in the market. If not, this could be because your phone is an old model or unable to support Java or browser functionality. However, it may be because your phone's internet/data settings need updating. Call us on 0845 371 2506 if you need a hand.

Can I listen to the radio on my phone and have CLIQ open?

Yes, on most phones the applications can run simultaneously.

Why can’t I buy certain tracks?

Some tracks aren’t for sale because we don’t have permission from the record companies; or because they are brand new and have not been released for sale yet.

I can’t find the station I am listening to?

Not all stations are currently available on CLIQ; see Which stations can I buy music from for a complete list of current CLIQ stations. More stations are constantly joining the service, so don’t forget to update station list regularly.

What are all the questions my phone asks me when starting up CLIQ? / What does allow access to the internet mean?

The phone is asking your permission to use GPRS (mobile internet) – it needs this to access the station track lists and for track purchasing. You may be able to disable these prompts, if you want to please refer to your phone manual.

Can I cancel a purchase?

Once you have selected a track you will be told how much it costs, if you OK this, there will be yet another screen confirming name, artist and cost of track (in both these screens it is possible to back up). However, once you have pressed ‘OK’ on the confirmation screen it is not possible to cancel the purchase.

I’ve forgotten my pin what should I do?

Please call customer support on 0845 371 2506 and we will reset your pin for you. A new pin will be sent to you by SMS.

I have a new phone, what do I need to do?

Firstly please delete the CLIQ data from your current phone by selecting ‘Delete CLIQ data’ from the ‘My Account’ Menu. Once you have your new phone you will need to reinstall CLIQ - please text CLIQ to 78901 and follow the instructions as before. Your online account will still be active with the same telephone number. If you keep your mobile number, your pin will also remain the same.

Can I go back and buy a song played earlier on?

It is only possible to buy tracks when they are listed on your mobile phone.

I have accidentally deleted my CLIQ data from my phone, what should I do?

Don’t worry, all you need to do is reinstall CLIQ by texting CLIQ to 78901 and follow the instructions.
