CLIQ takes your privacy very seriously.

 

This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to on it) explain how we collect and use information about you when you use our Web site and the ways in which we may use that information such as to enhance the services we offer to you and to improve your online experience.

It also sets out details of the personal information we collect about you and the ways in which we may use that information and also provides other information such as details about cookies and how to update or access any personal information we hold about you.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the Act"), the data controller is UBC Media Group PLC of 50 Lisson Street, London NW1 5DF.
Our nominated representative for the purpose of the Act is The Company Secretary.

Collection and use of your personal information.
We may collect and process the following data about you:
  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.cliqradio.co.uk ("our site"). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by CLIQ Radio, and when you report a problem with our site;
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence;
  • We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them;
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfillment of your orders; and
    details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  • CLIQ may share the information we collect from you with the radio stations which you have bought songs from unless you contact us in writing via cliqradio.co.uk specifically requesting us not to share this information.

You agree that any data you provide us will be true, complete and accurate in all respects and you agree to notify us immediately of any changes to it.

The information that we collect may be used in the following ways:

  • Process any applications or registrations made by you;
  • Search the records of fraud prevention agencies in assessing any applications for the CLIQ service. If you give us false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this. We and other companies may use this information if decisions are made about you on credit or credit-related services;
  • Administer your account(s), provide customer services and respond to and resolve any enquiries or complaints;
  • Conduct analysis for traffic and billing management, and to support product development;
  • Contact you for market research purposes;
  • Keep you up to date by post, telephone, email, and direct to your handset by text with information about CLIQ services, and offers and promotions subject to any marketing preferences indicated by you.

If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data, i.e. the registration form.

If you are aged 16 or under, you must get your parent or guardian's consent to provide your personal information to the CLIQ website, otherwise you are not allowed to provide any of your personal information to us.

Storage of your personal information
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Collection and use of technical information
We may collect and store the following information:

  • The IP address from which you access this website;
  • Your operating system and browser type;
  • The date and time of your visit(s) to this site;
  • Clickstream data which which reveals the activities of visitors around this website (for example the pages you access and products browsed); and
  • The website address of the website from which you accessed this site.

None of this information could be used by us to identify visitors to this website. Such data are used only to analyse trends, administer and improve our website, track movement through our website and gather statistical information about visits to the website.

Our website will use "cookies" which are files that are stored on your PC's hard drive and are used to identify your PC when ever you visit our website. These cookies help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us to:

Monitoring of Your Communications
We may monitor and/or record communications between you and CLIQ for quality control and training purposes.
