GETTING CLIQ

Firstly, to get CLIQ, you need to use a mobile phone that supports Java ™ applications. About 85% of phones do e.g. If you’ve ever downloaded a game or application for your phone, then chances are you’ll have Java & be ready to go!

Just follow these steps to get CLIQ and instantly purchase that great track you’ve just heard on the radio:

Send a message to 78901 (the cost of a standard text message) containing the word CLIQ or the CLIQ radio station name in to the body of the message. Here is a list of current stations.

You will get 2 text messages delivered to your phone.

One will contain the PIN number you will need to access CLIQ once it’s downloaded to your phone.

The other is the CLIQ installer – follow the phone instructions to download successfully on to your phone. This will take about 30 seconds. You might be asked where you would like to save CLIQ on your phone e.g. in your Applications folder. Just remember where you save it!

Next find the CLIQ program, open it and insert the PIN number you received via text message and you’re away!

If asked whether you should allow access to the internet, say yes. CLIQ needs to do this to access the station track lists for track purchasing.

You are now ready to use CLIQ!

BUY A SONG

To buy a song on CLIQ, first open the application on your phone and enter you pin, this will take you to a list of all the CLIQ radio stations currently available.

Select the radio station that played the song you want to buy. You will then be shown the current song being played on that station (at the top of the list) and the 4 previously played songs.

Select the song you want to buy, click ok to buy it, then one more, just to make sure you haven't clicked it by mistake, click ok to confirm the purchase. Once you receive confirmation of purchase you are now ready to download your track at www.cliqradio.co.uk

Remember your first song is FREE - though to use CLIQ again you will need to top up your personal CLIQ account

DOWNLOADING TRACKS

CLIQ works best using Internet Explorer version 6 or above. This is free to download from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx

We also recommend Windows Media Player Version 10 or above, this can be downloaded free from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

To download a track you've bought simply go to www.cliqradio.co.uk and select 'Already a CLIQ customer' or select the link contained in the confirmation email to log in. This will take you to a log in page.

Once you've reached the log in page simply enter your mobile number and PIN (if you're collecting your first purchase) or your username and password (if you've already registered).

You will be taken to a page displaying all the songs you've bought, select the download button next to any of your tracks to download them.

Remember to press "SAVE" (not "OPEN") when you download the track to your music folder. This way your track will be safely stored on your computer for ever

If your computer has pop up blockers you will need to press and hold the Control key (Ctrl) while selecting the download button. You can also disable pop ups for the site by selecting TOOLS > Pop up blocker > Turn off pop up blocker.

We recommend that you save all your CLIQ files in the same place.

If you use Firefox to get your CLIQ music you will be prompted by a registration box the first time you try to play the song. You MUST use your CLIQ USERNAME (Not your email address) and password when entering your details into the licensing box.

Now simply open the folder where you saved the track and you can play it, transfer it and burn it!

TOP UP MY ACCOUNT

In order to Top Up you must already have registered online with CLIQ and entered your payment details. Once you have, there are two ways to top up your account, on your phone or online.

Topping Up on your phone is very easy, simply open the CLIQ application and enter your pin, then scroll down to the bottom of the station list and select "Topup".

Select the amount you want to add to your account, click ok to Topup, then finally click ok again to confirm the amount.

A message may pop up asking you to allow the application to send the request via the internet. This is completely secure so click yes. Congratulations you can now buy songs on CLIQ!

To top up online, is just as easy. Log on to www.cliqradio.co.uk click on the "Already a CLIQ User" link. Enter your User name and Password and click "Login".

On the left hand menu, under "My Account" select "Top up". From here simply select the amount you want to add to your account from the drop down list then click "Submit". You’ll get confirmation of your top up on screen.

You're then ready to buy more songs on CLIQ!
